We are starting with a solid foundation and building towards an open, connected event platform. This roadmap describes our plans; these features are not yet available.

  1. The foundation

    In development

    An independently operated platform: sign-in by email link, communities and roles, events, participation management and unified search.

  2. Better tools for events

    Planned

    Better oversight of members and participants, speaker profiles, calendar integration and moderated event feedback.

  3. Making connections

    Planned

    An independent ActivityPub Java library lays the groundwork for sharing and liking public communities and events across Komunumo installations.

  4. Strengthening the ecosystem

    Planned

    Waiting lists, a public read-only API and more robust federation, alongside load testing, a security review and discovery of federated profiles using WebFinger.

  5. Growing with openness and trust

    Planned

    Interoperability with other ActivityPub platforms, moderation and trust policies, and cross-instance search for public communities and events.
